Summary

Worms Armageddon for the PC is a turn-based strategy game with a difference. You take control of a team of cute worms and attempt to destroy all who oppose you. Each worm has a set energy level and it takes several attacks to dwindle it down. The team with the last worm standing wins. The simplistic gameplay makes this title accessible to nearly everyone, but the addictiveness ensures a fun time for all.

The levels in Worms are randomly generated each time you play which makes for a unique playing experience. The skills that you develop in the single player missions can be applied to the multi-player madness. Worms is a party game and it shows. In each round, you only have so much time to devise an attack and carry it out. The wind plays a big part in Worms as it changes all the time and modifies the range of your attacks. You constantly need to change the trajectory and power of your shots to compensate.

When you name your team after your friends, things start to get personal. It’s so much fun walking up to a worm, aiming your baseball bat and knocking him for a home run into the ocean. One of the best aspects of Worms is how customisable it is. You can change the weapons you play with and how much damage they do. You can even alter the way the little blighters talk and create your own levels. Playing over the Internet is one of the best on-line experiences available.

The Worms franchise has been so successful for Team 17 because it is such an amazing game.
