Summary

Considered to be one of the most popular multi-player franchises of the 1990’s, the Worms series has grown in leaps and bounds in recent years. The latest installment, Worms Armageddon, makes its way onto the mobile platform, GameBoy Color.

Thankfully, because of the 2-dimensional nature of Worms, the GameBoy conversion is, in essence a well translated conversion. It is only due the GameBoy’s small screen that there is a slight drop in the visual quality of this title. After casting this minor downfall aside, it will soon become apparent that this version of Worms has retained the hugely engrossing game play that made it so popular.

Worms Armageddon consists of a large number of what appear to be random environments. You must learn to use these environments as best you can to destroy the opposing worms through a multitude of offensive weapons, some of which are suicidal. You can also alter the settings to balance the games’ elements of fun and strategy. Thanks to Nintendo’s handy link cable, you can now compete against real-life enemies in a cunning worm scramble.

If you’re a fan of worms or anything remotely related to fun, then Worms Armageddon will be enjoyable for many of you.
