Summary

For the first time in the company’s history, Nickelodeon has developed a franchise that features on the big screen, TV and online. But most importantly, he’s coming to a PC near you.

After occasionally saving the world from oblivion, Jimmy Neutron, a ten-year-old genius with a great quiff, spends his time with his cyborg best friend Goddard and good mate Carl Wheezer. But as usual, he barely makes it back home before he is called upon once more to save humanity.

Unlike its Game Boy Advance counterpart, the PC version has been developed in full 3D and gameplay is reminiscent of Nintendo’s Super Mario 64. Exploration plays a large part in this version, and you’ll soon find yourself wandering through unfamiliar and bizarre locations in search of clues as to your next goal within the game. But hey, you’re a boy genius and there’s no task too difficult, right? Well, yes, to an extent. Providing you become accustomed to how the game operates and progresses, you shouldn’t have too much trouble.

Players can take control of both Jimmy Neutron and Goddard. There is a minor role-playing element to this game but it doesn’t overwhelm the player with pages of statistics and options. It’s more like Zelda 64 as opposed to Final Fantasy.

Jimmy Neutron’s a cracking PC title that will tie in nicely with the big screen release.
