Summary

Also released for the Game Boy Advance, this PC version of Jimmy Neutron vs Jimmy Negatron follows the same story but obviously benefits somewhat from the extra processing power of the host machine. The story in question follows Jimmy's latest adventure as he comes up against his own evil alter ego who, you won't be surprised to discover, goes by the name of Jimmy Negatron.

The game begins with Jimmy and his class wandering through the Retroville Museum on a school history excursion. Suddenly, there occurs your typical puff of smoke and Jimmy then finds himself in another dimension staring straight at the evil-so-therefore-bearded version of himself. The mighty quiffed one is subsequently kidnapped and held captive in an evil parallel dimension while the nasty Negatron takes his place in Retroville, placing its inhabitants under a spell so that he can try and do what baddies do best (or should that be what baddies do worst?) and take over the world. Once again it's time for Jimmy to rescue Retroville, stop the evil alter ego from wreaking any more havoc and restore order to the Real World.

In order to fulfil his mission, Jimmy must explore eight areas across the game's 3D world, including such haunts as Jimmy's neighbourhood, the Lab House, the Candy Bar, the Retroville Museum, Evil VOX's virtual reality, and the Flurp Factory. A host of toys, gadgets and other delights feature throughout the adventure, making life a little easier for our high-haired hero. The extensive list includes the likes of the Plasma Launcher, Mini Submarine, Virtual Reality Tank, and the Virtual Reality Mech, as well as a handy little Hover Scooter for traversing an array of different surfaces.
