Summary
WWE is back in the ring and ready to shake things up with the biggest roster ever!
This time out there are more than 120 playable characters, nearly double the 67 that were in WWE 2K16. Included in that line-up are the likes of cover Superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin alongside Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Bad News Barrett, Paige and Finn Bálor. Every current superstar and diva is present and correct, as well as emerging NXT talent, Hall of Famers and alumni from multiple eras.
This year Yuke's and Visual Concepts have used the same engine used to power 2K's NBA games, resulting in what's arguably the best-looking wrestling game to date.
The story-based mode has made a return, giving players the chance to relive iconic matches and moments right out of WWE history. As players complete objectives they'll unlock legendary characters, entrance and ring gear, match types and other unlockables.
Also returning is career mode, in which players rise through the ranks from NXT to WWE and, if they have the chops, the Hall of Fame. On the way they'll train, take part in matches, conduct interviews and form the ultimate tag team.
Creation Suite has been built on, and new options include Create a Diva, Create a Championship, Create an Arena, and Create a Show.
